"I think we both died, that would explain the graves..." Ashley gestured towards the graves that said both her and John's names, "... and I guess that means were both zombies."
John gathered his composure, "Ha ha. Zombies. You had me until that last part. Well I'm going home, I've got chinese takeout left in my fridge."
"Aren't you curious how you got out from the grave?" Ashley looked around to make sure no one was watching, "Because one moment I was down there and the next I was here. Then when I heard screaming underground, from your grave, I came over and saw you suddenly appear before me."
"Teleporting zombies? That'd be a great movie... B rated movie... but I'd still watch it." Turning around John started walking towards the gate of the cemetery.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to wake up in a body that wasn't yours? I can't say that I had ever given it much thought. That was until one night when a patient entered the ER where I was working at and shot me point blank in the head. You know, if he wanted a second opinion, all he had to do was ask. Over joyed to see her, it took me a few minutes to realize that I was no longer the 25 year old, successful doctor at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the world. "Alright, what do you have in mind?" "What about getting to know each other without names?" "Damn, I missed my chance to ask. Now we will be both unnamed." He let out a little laugh. Which is nice so I do the same thing. "We don't need to be unnamed, just not our real names or last names. So what's your FAKE name?" I did put emphasis on the word fake and started smiling, and so did he.

But during a zombie apocalypse, when you get desperate, you're desperate. When you're out of options, you need to do what you need to do to survive every day. Sometimes, it might not always be ideal. But when push comes to shove, when you're barely alive and should be dead, the people who you don't know may just save you. Surviving without enemies is hard enough. But when the past comes back to haunt and enemies come to fight, the apocalypse may just become almost impossible to survive. Brains and brawn may not be enough. It takes heart to make it day to day. They knew it would be hard. They didn't know it would be next to impossible to survive. This is a story my friend and I wrote together. It took us about a year to complete.
