Maya Hudson is nothing but an average teenager living in New York City. Or, was. Her only dream in life was to be on Broadway, but after a construction accident amputated a whole leg, that dream became so much more distant than it already was. Has anyone ever heard of a one legged actress?

Then there's Jason. He's just another boy trying to make it in New York... right? Not quite. Jason Butler, a dark-haired, blue eyed boy who grows fond of a sweet girl that works at the local gift shop— Maya. Even after their attraction toward each other forms a relationship, Maya isn't aware of the deep secret that Jason kept from her the whole time.
