A book about love, loss, pain, and the rediscovery of one self amidst the ashes, even during the most impossible of circumstances. I've grown to witness that resilience and perserverance is where our greatest power lies for that is where we learn to gather the courage to evolve into our truest selves, the greatest beings we will ever be. Writing has helped keep me alive and give birth to hope, most especially upon my worst days.
Semicolons are used when the author could have ended their sentence but chose not to, the author is yourself and the sentence is your life, hence the use and symbolism of it in my title. I once read this quote upon the internet years ago that stated that the idea of a warrior is surrounded by notions of fearlessly overcoming opponents and facing battles without hesitation. A warrior symbolizes the value of courage and serves as a reminder to go through life without fear, hence it being the great inspiration behind my title.
This is for those who have once been misunderstood, for those who have once felt broken, defeated, worthless, those who have wanted to give up because the circumstances and the pain has just been too much to bare. I'm here to let you know that it is possible to make it through anything, to heal from just about anything if you will it. That life really does get better and that the power that lies within you is beyond majestic. Time will always find its way to you with all the answers it is that you seek, and will find a way to balance out the bitter with sweet, only if you will it.
I've written this poetry book for my last 3 years in high school, and now I've finally gathered the courage to put it out there. I hope you may enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it for you. It means the world to have you reading this at this moment. It is my gift from me to you.
However, let me not keep you long enough. Take a trip through my world and enjoy.
