"This Kingdom has forgotten what happens to tyrants who sit upon thrones." Her eyes blazed with a thousand fires. "Who damn the weak and the different." She raised her chin, looking out over the men gathered around her. They were weak. For too long they had sat in their houses and squandered their riches at the expense of others. Too long. "I'm going to remind them." She uttered as a shape loomed from the shadows, fangs bared to catch the firelight. The Nobles drew back in fear at the sight of the dragon. He blocked the light of the moon, eyes shining bright as he opened his maws. "And I shall start with you." The Elf Mage whispered and as the men before her began to realize their fate, flames spilled forth from Dracul's jaws. Their screams of torment echoed in her ears but Morwen turned, scaling up her companion's foreleg to perch between his shoulders. She watched, unflinching, as her enemies, the enemies of her people, were burnt alive. This was only the beginning. -

Follow along with Celine as she adventures through the Midlands and see what happens when one impulsive decision changes the life of a simple farm girl making her the focus of bounty hunters and assassins. Sneak peak: "Ssh... They're going to hear you! Be quiet and act like you're sleeping!" he whispered loudly. Celine shut her mouth and moved as far away from him as she possibly could without falling out of the bed. "At the first opportunity he could slit my guts open to get that gem," she thought nervously. She was still holding the dagger so she moved the hand that was holding it to where he could see it. "I'm still armed so don't try anything foolish," she warned him. He looked shocked and a little taken aback. "Like I'm really going to do anything improper with all these soldiers crawling around," he said in irritation. They both fell silent. Then he hastily got up from the bed. "Anyway, you're not my type," he replied angrily. He walked over to the chair and grabbed his cloak and spread it out on the floor in front of the fire to make a pallet. Then he laid down and turned his back on her. Celine ignored him and listened to see if she could hear what was going on below. She could hear the soldiers speaking downstairs in the tavern but couldn't make out what they were saying. It sounded like they were already setting up their headquarters. "Just my luck," she thought. "I don't know how I'm going to get out of this one! The enemy is all around me!" Then she glanced over at Brandon who was still lying by the fire. "Even in this very room!"
