Kari thrives away from other humans. She lives on an island full of wonders, and dragons. The reason: her own companion dragon, Stargazer is an alpha Lightfury, the opposite of the fabled Nightfury. But, Star is different from other dragons, she does not have a partner. Kari knows Star is special and has been searching for a mate for her, but with no avail. Then Stargazer has a dream: there is another out there. Will Kari and Stargazer find this dragon in time, or will Star's hope of a legacy be lost forever?
