As a kid, Adrian was diagnosed with both schizophrenia and a severe mental disorder which gives his brain a hard time comprehending the signals from his senses. This causes him to constantly experience something that feels similar to mind reading. The voices in his head thinks they belong to the people around him and the way he takes in information slowly makes it seem as if he always knows what they are going to do before it actually happens. But Adrian knows it's not real, he is aware about his mental illness and wants nothing else in the world but to be cured somehow, though there is one thing he'd want even more, one thing that's not in the world... That's why he immediately agrees when a research establishment suddenly offers him a way out of it. Unfortunately things aren't what they seem to be, and it doesn't take long before Adrian realizes that he's crazier than ever, just in a whole different way than he thought he was.
