the clap of thunder lingers in the air then lightning blinding the group of friends. As they look up they see jack holding out his hand towards karina the rain pours heavily.
As karina's frail body slowly plummets doen a cliff the water below as angry and as wild as a flame.Her eyes fixated on Jack her expresion not afraid but shocked. As fast as the lightning gave them light it soon became dark and karina was no longer able to be seen.......

Okay, so I'm really bad at descriptions so here's my attempt at a small summary: Basically the protagonist of this story is searching for her friends little sister who's gone missing. Her search brings her to an unsavoury location, and the awful weather isn't helping her out much either. As she journeys deeper she soon realises that her suspicions were correct - an old 'friend' has returned, and this time they don't plan on letting our protagonist get away... So how was that? Prologue: The Prophecy In ancient times, it was said that a great power would arise, a power that would bring magic back to the forefront of the worlds. There will come those who will unite the kingdoms and empires, and they will bring an end to the darkness that has long shadowed the land. It was said that these mages would be the saviour of the worlds and that they would bring hope and light to all. But for many years, the prophecy remained unfulfilled. Magic seemed to be ending, few remained that could wield it. The darkness seemed to grow. The people slowly forgot and those that remembered lost hope, the kingdoms and empires fell and changed and with it brought chaos. But then, one day, a young girl was born in a small village far from the capital. She was born under the sign of lightning, and she had the power of magic within her. And so, the prophecy began. Jack, the main character, is sent to the national school for mages. As far as he knows he's nothing more than a mage with an above-average affinity for water magic. Until one of his teachers reveals he is destined to be ranked immortal, a mage with unbelievable strength. if by some chance you end up reading this and wonder why it seems like i forgot to edit some stuff at the end there, i didn't. there is plenty of things i still need to fix about this story, including the main characters' name, for this story to be good. but i realized no matter how hard i try i'll never be good at anything. so after spending countless hours writing this story it was either upload it somewhere or delete it. i still might who knows.Complete

For as long as you could remember, you had been alone for your whole life, staring at stars in the dead of night to try and feel at least a little closer to home. There was another person on this planet that was also alone and in almost the same situation as you, but that was different, this was different. You had been sent to Earth to protect him from the shadows, and you didn't plan on getting involved with him by any means. You were his guardian angel that he didn't even know existed, and you planned on keeping it that way. Well, at least you tried. After a while of watching the boy talk to himself and pout while kicking rocks, muttering how alone he was, you eventually found the heart to reveal yourself. Now, you were lying underneath the stars with the boy right next to you, his mouth spewing words at a speed you couldn't comprehend. But that didn't matter, all you really cared about was the hand that was in your own, squeezing it every now and then to know that you were still awake. That you were still by his side.
