"Michael, it is not as simple as you speak of. By the age of eighteen, I must never love a man because if I do, my heart will wither and my whole body will turn into stone. You must understand that being an apprentice under Howl is my key in breaking this curse." she said. "B-but, Clarence, you're a girl! Falsifying your identity to an infamous wizard doesn't count!" He walks up to me, the girl standing behind him. "Hello Jordan," Gillespie says. He points to the girl. "This little lady here is a new student. I'm gonna have her work with you today, show her the ropes. Behave yourselves." Before I get a chance to protest, Gillespie walks off to check on other people's progress. The girl just stands there, looking at me quizzically. "Um," I say. "Do you have a name?" "Yes," she says, and I'm struck by her accent. I think it's French. "My name is Nicole, Nicole Lavoie." "Interesting. Say, is that a French accent I hear? Are you from Quebec or something?" "Yes, I am, she says. "Montreal, to be exact." "Really? I've always wanted to go there!" "That's awesome. Uh, your name is Jordan, right?" "Yes, yes it is." *** Jordan Devlin is a hockey player, and a good one at that. Although hockey has always been his passion, there is one thing that he hasn't been able to figure out: love. When he suddenly meets a girl he finds incredibly attractive, he is unsure of what to do. What will Jordan do about this girl, now that he finds his life turned upside down? *** "Tell me a bit about yourself. You're the first person here that I've talked to since coming here." "Alright," I say, unsure of what to say next. "I spend a lot of my time playing hockey. That's where I strive to be professionally." "You're a hockey player, huh? Nicole asks excitedly. "What position?" "Centre." "Cool. You do much of anything else?" I shrug. "No. Just a hockey player." "Are you any good?" "How does fifty goals in twenty games sound to you?" Her eyes widen. "That's near impossible, isn't it?" "Apparently not." "That's impressive. Now, let's get to work. The teacher is staring at us." I nod, and we get to work. The whole time, I cannot help but smile stupidly, because Nicole took such an interest in me, and who I am. She seems so full of life, and not one to let it bring her down. I'm beginning to like her already.

Summary || Plot "I was warned about boys like you." Folding her arms Moenice was getting hot under the stare of Theo's beautiful brown eyes. "Oh yeah. What exactly were you warned about?" Taking a step closer, Theo knew what he was doing, he knew how he made Moenice feel. "All boys just want one thing, they come sniffing, begging, chasing after it." Moenice wasn't about to let Theo see the real her. To her he was just like the other brothers around here, feening for something that could easily fuck up both lives. "Good thing I'm a grown. Ass. Man." Grabbing her face, he spoke slowly against her lips. He kept one hand around her waist and the other tilting her head back. "And this grown ass man ain't with that little boy shit." Trying to catch her breath Moenice was almost under his control, she knew what he was doing and knew just how to fight back. "Show me." Slowly pulling his hand off her face she whispered in his ear nibbling on his earlobe to arouse him. "Actions speak volume Theo." Closing her door quietly she leaned against it. Theo was absolutely no good for a good girl like Moenice, but she seemed to be breaking all the rules anyway. ~*~*~*~* Welcome to Brownsville NY. You got your Gang bangers, drug dealers, Crack heads, and a few loving people that actually want to make it some place. Coming up around here someone was always getting in trouble, or killed. Moenice always swore she would never get caught up in that life. But what happens when she meets Theodore, one of the most smooth talking drug dealers around the block. As her 18th birthday approaches, life as Moenice knows it changes and breaking all the rules is exactly what she has to do. Love wasn't what either expected, but can love be enough to save both their lives, from a world full of hate and Crime?
