A 17 year old Junior A hockey player in Brampton, Ontario named Ryan Matthews must learn to balance school, friends, family, and girls while striving to be the best player in his province and earn an NCAA scholarship. He has all the skills to make it to the next level but struggles academically. He will need to pull up his grades to have a chance at college hockey. He never has time for anything but hockey and loses some important relationships because of his schedule. He is faced with a life changing decision to sacrifice everything and leave everyone he grew up with for the chance of achieving his goal of professional hockey.

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Hugo, Jennie decides to go on an exchange year to the US. There, she starts school in the early weeks of September and meets Dylan Breve, the captain of the school hockey team. One of the most popular guys in school.
