Tears slowly started to travel down my cheeks. "Taehyung please." My voice comes out horsed and shaky as I beg over the phone.
"Alex?" I can tell Tae was crying by the tremble in his voice.
"Yes?" I sniffle.
"Promise me something?"
"Y-yes, anything."
"Promise that you'll find a way to be happy?" I hear his voice crack and my heart tightens at the sound.
"Tae what are you talking about?"
"Just promise me, okay?" He struggles to finish the sentence, a nearly soundless sob escapes his lips.
"Okay," I nod my head slightly and wipe some of the tears from my face. My eyebrows furrow together, causing wrinkles between them. My entire body is begging to give up, to just release everything I've ever held back. I press my hand to my lips and bite on my bottom one, trying to hold back a sob.
"I love you." Was all I was able to say before he hung up.
