Grace kneeled in front of one of the planters, her hands cupping a small tomato plant. Gently placing the fragile plant into a hole she had already dug, she pushed down on the dirt around it to hold it in place. Satisfied with her work, she leaned back and dusted her hands off on her apron.
She stood and turned around, only to see a large man looking at her.
"Who are you?"
He felt a slight pain bloom in his chest at that, he knew it was her, and he couldn't fathom her forgetting him. Grace took a step ask, ready to run and find her aunt.
"I'm Colin Hendrix, the warrior alpha." He said, moving closer to her.
She grew pale and looked to the ground in submission and fear.
"What is your name, little one?" He growled lowly, pushing her chin up to meet his eyes.
"G-Grace, alpha."
"Adelisa..." It was her, he felt the bond course through his veins like lava. Grace was her middle name, and clearly Adelisa was an odd name for the modern era.
"How...how do you know my first name?" She asked, her hands trembling.
"You are mine." He said, wrapping his arms around her, "My mate."
