This is a story about Chester Pinkerton. A man with incredible abilities. A man barely touched by time . . . or once was thought.
However the events of his past have weighed heavily upon his soul leaving him fractured and disconnected from the modern world.
With his abilities now diminished and his spirit and thirst for life close in tow, time is finally about to catch up with Chester, unless his past catches up with him first.
This is also a story about Maggie Kershaw, a young optimist with her eyes set firmly on the future when not one, but two life changing events shatter her normal way of existence, and with it, all plans she had of a brighter tomorrow.
With her darkest days on the horizon, tragedy brings her close to a stranger from her grandfathers past. A stranger just as lost as she.
Together Maggie and Chester spark a friendship, which inadvertently begins to fill the void in each others lives.
However the poignant Mr Von Kroon is hot on Chester's heels. Haunted by loss and weighted down by anger and hate, he'll stop at nothing to get the answers he needs, even if he's not ready to hear them.
And as this small West Sussex town awaits Mr Von Kroons arrival it already harbours a much greater threat. One born deep within Chester's past, as far back as the Second World War, which threatens to resurface the horrors of the holocaust and the twisted hate within The Third Reich.
Yet while the temperature is set to rise and the town prepares for its annual summer fair, can Chester protect the ones he loves or will the mistakes of his past threaten his future and the future of a much greater peace.
