"... you just have to try"

Easier said than done, isn't it? That's the first thing people tell you when you tell them you are sad. "Be happy, you just have to try". But of course you will have to try. Everything starts and ends with ourselves indeed. But "try" doesn't always mean suceed. There is also failure in our lives. And we may not realise it, we might not know it, but we have all tasted it and we are all afraid of it. And when we fail, we fall into darkness. We hear that voice in our head telling that, it was predictable for us to fail. How wouldn't we when we suck at everything? What makes us think that we would make it? Positivity? Oh my friend, life is not about positivity it's about living. Isn't that people are constantly saying anyway? What adults are constantly reminding us?

Ben though, doesn't want to believe that. He wants to believe in optimism and dreams. But the problem is, he can't. That voice in his head... it won't shut up dammit. It's stronger than everything else. The only thing he can hear. He needs to make it stop. Somehow. And he knows how.

Death is the only way he can make this voice stop.
