Neon Darkness

Jennelle Nystedh spends her days animating characters in the simstim mega show Neural Storm. Her bosses are happy with her work, as long as she keeps her deadlines and supplies them with enigmatic characters.
Her nights, she wastes waiting for her not-boyfriend Nikola Holbach to give her his time of day, or night. Mostly she ends up at The Gentleman Loser, hanging at the bar and sketching the regulars, for practice and inspiration for the show. She knows Nikola is up to no good business deals, but he's so dreamy that that little detail isn't important enough to focus on.
One night, Jen drowns her sorrow of Nikola's no show with too much vodka and soon fuzzy memories of Harlan Locke, a creepy dude who can't take no for an answer, begin to resurface. And what kind of information is stored on the disc she suspects fell out of his pockets?
