This book is set somewhere in America after the Black Death and before the American Revolution, but I'm not the best history guru, so excuse me if I mix up "Anne With an 'E'" and "Liberty's Kids". 
Anyway, this is about a girl, Lucia Walker, who's soul has been sold to The Devil. Yep. Ol' Satan himself. Well, actually, herself, after this, but yeah, The Devil. Go have fun reading it. Or whatever. Do what you want, I'm not here to judge. Oh, and before I forget: If you are a strong believer in God and absolutely hate Satan, then this is probably not the book for you. The same goes for any racist bigots, because the old Satan and the architect character and other characters will be racially diverse, or homophobic internet warriors, because one of the main characters will most likely be gay.
