Kacie Green doesn't like syrup, has panic attacks, and is afraid of people. She is afraid to let anyone see the real her--one that she believes no one can truly love--and therefore avoids friends--and boyfriends--at all costs. So when actually-not-that-bad bad boy Jake Daley tries to befriend Kacie, she shuts him out.
