Mature
Mitch has been in foster care since he was nine. When his mother passed away his father didn't take it well. He started drinking more; he would come home from the bar later than necessary. When his drinking got out of control he'd use Mitch for his personal punching bag.
When he would come to school with bruises scattered across his face, teachers were catching on. He wasn't even nine yet, he wasn't getting in fights. They knew that.
Eventually his dad got taken away, and he was put in foster care. Nobody wanted a kid his age, or a kid with bruises, and scars across his face.
He is now seventeen years old.
Add a little gayness to everything, and bullying. Now that's pretty much the story...

Sorry I'm not good with descriptions lmao. Read the story if you want, and find out what happens.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
