Ivy Willows' mom was a professional rider. Well at least in the countryside of New York. But a fatal accident leads to death, leaving 6 year old Ivy in the care of her dad. She made one final promise to here mother, "To take care of her horse." And thats what she did. Until one summer, her dad makes go visit her grandpa in England off the mainland to learn how to ride a horse professionally. She then finds Bright Fields and makes new friends, enemies and falls for the stable boy, Peter (Pin) Hawthorne.
