Life is not a path of roses it also filed with thorns and stones. Lily Montgomery is a filthy rich girl ran away from home fearing an arranged marriage she has to live her life all alone and face the consequences for her actions. She gets help from strangers and thinks finally she can be free. She was so wrong! Dangers keep chasing her and she have no idea who she was dealing with. Will she go any far to protect her loved ones and herself? Most of all a mysterious boy James keeps protecting her from dangers. Who is he? Why he is helping her? What is his real identity? Will she able to uncover her life's secrets? Will she ever get over her dark past?

Heads up, am going to update every week, if you wish, might as well put it in library until chap 19. Am also going to edited some of chapters that I had published later, maybe when am done doing drafts. English isn't my first language so don't expect "that kind" of description to things but I would try my best. I don't recommend reading this if you want a well written story! It's in dire need of some serious editing! Can you really leave your past behind you? Can you lock it away, in the darkest recesses of your mind? Or will it always be there, hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce? When Lily moved to London from Wales, she thought that it would be a fresh start. But her problems just seem to follow her wherever she goes. Silently struggling to come to terms with the situation surrounding her parents' death, Lily hopes that finding a job and being independent will help her to get the courage she needs to move on. But things can never stay "just good", her demons from the past will always try to rear their ugly heads, ready to pounce when Lily least expects it. Caroline loves her new friend Lily. They do almost everything together. But as time goes on, it becomes more and more apparent that Lily is not everything she seems to be. Where did Lily come from, what is she hiding, and what's the real reason for their intense friendship? For those of you who are already familiar with my writing, I should let you know that this short story is nothing like anything else I've written. I wrote it as a birthday gift for a ten-year-old girl. She devoured the whole thing in couple of hours and when she finished, she told me she loved it. This ten-year-old girl is very girly, she likes unicorns and rainbows and magical worlds, but she also likes Sci-Fi and scary, threatening bad guys. As a result, the genre of this book is quite niche, and it may not be appropriate for every ten-year-old. There are some confrontations I would categorise as "mild peril." Spoiler Alert: If you're a parent looking for something for a child of a similar age, there are two deaths in this book and so you may want to check it out first because I recognise every child is different. (The girl I wrote is for said they weren't graphic deaths, and she was fine with both in the context of the story.) Anyway, she asked me to put it out there for others to enjoy, so ... enjoy.
