And with that, his lips crashed into mine. It felt like being at the top of a roller coaster. The feeling you get when you know you're about to go down. Your brain is constantly calling you stupid for agreeing to this in the first place, and your stomach can't get ahold of itself to save your life, and you're just there. Feeling 100 emotions at once, while keeping yourself together.

I was at the bottom of the roller coaster now. Excited, jumpy, and a little reckless. I was confident, feeling like I could do anything. And like every overly confident person does, I screwed up.
As his eyes opened, mine closed. I didn't want to see his reaction yet, so I did the only thing to keep him busy. I kissed him again.
After the first time, you think the roller coaster won't have that effect on you anymore. But, the really good ones never fail to terrify you over and over again.

It wasn't necessarily the way that he would talk, even though have of the time I had to ask him what he meant. It wasn't even the way that he would try to tease me about my height even though he wasn't all that tall himself.
