Ruby was born in another world (the real world) and at an early age, she learned that no one has happy endings. She learned that to be especially true when she died at the age of sixteen due to her evil foster mother pushing her in front of oncoming traffic. She's reborn into the world of Twilight Town where she walks around like a zombie until she's sixteen again. She mentally wakes up on the day that Roxas receives his name. She goes to her favorite spot to think in town and finds Axel and Roxas sitting atop her favorite place. Axel offers to share after he introduces himself and Roxas. Strangely, the three become good friends over the year that Roxas is out of Sora's body. However, Ruby still doesn't get her happy ending...
