Gianna is a struggling Detective with a homicide case she can't solve. The victims are only connected by cause of death - drained completely of blood. One night she bumps into a tall, dark and handsome stranger that she can't seem to get out her mind. With the tension between them Gia finds herself jumping into something with a mysterious man that she does not really know. His name is Rasmus. Rasmus is a Creature of the Shadows on the run with his sister Addilyn from the elusive Shapers. Addy is reluctant to tell her brother why they are pursuing her but knows she cannot hide her secret much longer. Suddenly they stumble across the town Chester Valley and it does not seem like they are getting the welcome they had hoped for...
