Jim and Spock have only been Captain and Commander for a few months now. They may have save the Earth and Pike together but they can not seem to work together on normal missions. Pike knows what the duo can do and how much he has invested in defending them. He deems it time for an intervention. Couple's counseling style. Well his version of it anyways. He knows the two can work things out but what stands in the way is only something the two of them can discover for themselves.
