Everything was okay. Well, better than okay. I was lead student of the school, President of the Leadership Committee, a passionate soccer player and a rough girl. Until the new high school bitch just steals everything I've got with fake eyeliner and fake boyfriends. I lost everything. My reputation, my good grades, my athletic body. Hell, none of the therapies worked. Then, as my life roller coaster goes down to that really fast part, I started gasping for air in class and coughing up blood at recess. "You have lung cancer at an advanced stage. I'm sorry, you have a few months." And suddenly I'm all alone with cancer sucking up the remnants of my soul. Can I make it the best few months? Well, with a little change here and there, maybe life is worth living.

Journey with me back in time as I rewrite the first Journal I kept from when I was in high school, and see that maybe even with how horrible life is most of the times, there are little things spread throughout that make life worth living. My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world. Life is a beautiful mess. It's not perfect, and filled with a lot of disappointments, and heartbreak. There are moments when it all feels too much, but there's not much we can do other than go with the flow of things.
