We all know the story of how Hades's kidnapped Persephone from her mother and his sister Demeter, brought her to the Underworld and tricked her by eating a Pomegranate that forces her to spend half the year in the Underworld with him. Nyx was the goddess of the night and Aether was the god of the light, their paths crossing only at dawn and dusk. Somehow, they fell in love and had a set of triplets.
