After the great war, the King of Arisia (the land of Darkness) thinks that his son, Axanian Kry, the greatest warrior on his side is dead. But Axanian is still alive.
Their enemy, the "Enlightened Ones" are people of values and won't kill someone who is innocent by mind. So when he knew he was about to be defeated, Axanian erased all of his memories of his crimes and battles by a special Curse that he bestowed apon himself.
Now only the moon priestess, the highest in the order of the Enlightened Ones knows of Axanian's true identity.
Now even though his mind is as innocent as a monk, it's his heart full of darkness about which the priestess is worried about, because when the ultimate choice comes, it's always the heart that has its way.
