Emery is a 16-year-old mother of twin daughters, people think she had a one night stand with a college student at a party, they started calling her the "town slut", but what really happened was that she went on a date with her longtime crush, Ace Vanderwall, who took her to a party and raped her. Emery and her family couldn't handle the crude comments and rumours anymore. they moved from a small town in Brisbane Australia to an even smaller town in Texas. Emery has to keep her daughters a secret so the rumours don't spread again, in order to do that she needs to keep to herself and if anyone sees the twins she must lie and say that they are her sisters. that is until Percy starts to develop feelings for Emery and doesn't believe the story that Emery is telling everyone, Emery is forced to tell Percy. what will Percy do? will he keep her secret or tell everyone?
