Every June From 1993 to 2003, there was an epidemic of children that were born with these unexplainable gifts in New York City. Why was it only in June for only ten years? No one really knew, but when they were born, they were all left by their parents, because nobody wanted a child that was born in the "Mutant Baby Epidemic".

Normal people decided that we needed a whole generation named after us, even though we were all born in different years. They called us the Irregularities, and it stuck pretty well.

My name is Ryan Rivera. I'm 26 years old, and I live in New York City. My birthday is on June 1, 1993. I was the first Irregularity.

After I was born, there were only 21 others that were born into the Irregularities. Not a whole lot of us.

When we were born and left by our parents, we were put into regular orphanages. But the staff couldn't endure our abilities. So, they made an orphanage for us in 2006, no staff worked there, it was just a house big enough to fit us all. We were shipped food every week to keep us fed and new clothes every month so we could give our old ones to the younger kids, then throw them out when everyone was grown out of them. But in 2011, our home was raided by the government. They said they couldn't take care of us anymore, so everyone 16 and older were given apartments to live in and a resume to get a job. The world wouldn't know of our powers. everyone else 15 and under were put into regular orphanages and foster homes. I was put into an apartment in Queens, and I never heard from any of the others again.

That's our history
And this is our story

Seventy-four years has been long enough. The way of the infamous Hunger Games has been altered. No longer is every Gamemaker out to devise the worst means of torture and death for every tribute. No longer are the people of Panem outwardly tolerant of President Snow's murderous actions. Under the facade of a normal group of Gamemakers, several rebellious citizens have begun an experiment which, if it succeeds, will make use of technology both to rescue the tributes before they are dead and then deposit the brainwashed children back in time. They have to try it. No one knows what horrors future Hunger Games may bring, and the desperate rebels are willing to try anything. Meanwhile, in the mountainous regions of District 2, Cato Hadley and Clove Kentwell have trained their whole lives for the Games. Nevertheless, their ambitions change when they, without meaning to, find themselves in the Games together. They are both determined to win. But if they don't, what will happen to them? The brainwashed tributes who land in New York City know nothing of who they are or where they are from. They do not remember Panem, or the Games, or even their own names. This is a science fiction story based off the Hunger Games and its characters. Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Hunger Games! This story is based around a plot twist I created, but all rights go to Suzanne Collins, the author of the original series. Disclaimer no. 2: this was a first draft written by a very awkward fifteen-year-old me; please treat it as such. INCAPABLE - BOOK I: THE FALLEN by MiquelaVeronique

ONCE my mom told me that we, as humans, only fear what we do not know and that that is the sole reason for violence. We do not know what is to come of something, so in retaliation we immediately fight it off before we can ever find out; before we can ever see if there is any beauty in it. My mom is gone now. Along with any sanity we as a people have left. The year is 2193, and the world is at war. We, humans, are at war with each other only because of what we are and what we can do. We fear what we do not know, thus all we know is ignorance. The government, our democracy, our people and our world have fallen. Nothing good ever comes from being afraid of the abnormalities of others, especially when those abnormalities are amazing. The truth is, none of us are normal. Everyone's definition of normality is different, making it humanly impossible for anyone to ever accomplish the craved label of "normal". Then again, everything we have grown capable of was once described as humanly impossible. By those standards none of us are human. Not even me. A U T H O R ' S N O T E : This book is completed and there will be a second book coming out sometime next year, most likely in the summer. Please excuse any grammar issues or misspellings I have. I hope there are not many, but please consider I do all of the editing myself. Also this is a revised edition of Incapable - Book I: The Fallen. I think I have made it much better than the original story I wrote in the summer of this year and posted only a few months ago. I hope you enjoy! Happy reading. Xoxo, Miquéla P.S. I'm more than open to Q & A in the comments section or on my board if you have any questions regarding the book or just in general. :)

Human DNA is composed of stars. Stars that have been broken down into nanoparticles that have dispersed themselves throughout the universe; they harness the energy of the cosmos and transitively embedded their limitless potentials in every fiber of conscious existence. Logically, there has to be a reason then as to why life was given to those on Earth. Why humans were given such divinities from the universe. After all, the saying goes, "everyone was born for a reason," meaning those born with unworldly energies must have been given life to fulfill an unknown purpose that is greater than themselves. We are only given a certain amount of time in this world to live up to our given potential because, just like the stars, humans also fade away. A star's glow is a result of a series of chemical reactions that are housed at its core. Similarly, our lives are like a series of chemical reactions, vibrant, unpredictable, chaotic. They only last for a certain amount of time before the limiting reagent is used up in its entirety, ceasing the continuation of spontaneity. All of us have a limiting reagent, a chemical that is used up first, which then halts the chemical reaction and stops its continuity. And unfortunately, some of us possess a more powerful limiting reagent than others, making their chemical reaction burn out quicker than others. In this society, when your time is up, it is up, there is nothing else to be done. Any form of medication or medical intervention that was not created naturally by the Earth is frowned upon. That form dilutes the existing energies and manifestations of limitless potential. It makes those who use it less than and, in a way, tainted by the inconveniences of man-made alterations. However, grief can push some to go extra lengths to make their chaos continue even if it is just for a little bit longer.

The Island

44 parts Complete

"This is The Island, a prison designed for minors like me- too young to be executed, too old to be reformed, and too much of a stain on humanity to let exist. It was 'the answer' to the growing crime rate resulting from a world that was falling apart. The details evade me, but there is one thing I know. The water doesn't seem as scary as it did before." When Jordyn wakes up in the middle of a tropical forest in the mouth of a cat too big to be real, she decides this isn't how she wants to die. The Island has other plans, though. It was designed to kill her, and it will bring out every gun in the arsenal to do so. Her life becomes a game of survival from the mutant and venomous animals, severe temperature changes, and impossible weather scenarios that exist in this government manufactured prison. The twist? She has no idea who she is, where she came from, or why she committed first-degree arson. In this mixture of "The Hunger Games" and "Maze Runner", Jordyn has to unravel the truth before nature kills her- or die not knowing.
