What if Mipha put her love for Link and concern for Zelda ahead of Daruk's plan to rush to her Divine Beast? This story takes place in an AU that begins on the day of the Great Calamity. There is no time travel and the sequel to this story is "Love in Zora's Domain".

I obviously do not claim any ownership of the world or its characters. This writing is a work of my imagination and is for entertainment only. It is not part of the official Nintendo storyline.

I would like to clarify my approach to managing comments.

I welcome all feedback, both positive and negative, as long as it's expressed respectfully. Comments containing offensive language will be removed, as they do not align with the intended tone of my narratives or the expectations of our audience. Constructive criticism and questions about certain choices in the storyline are appreciated and respected.

However, I find it tiresome and unproductive when individuals use comments to disparage one plot element after another, chapter by chapter, indicating their fundamental displeasure with many aspects of the story. I hope it's clear these stories are a work of my imagination about hypothetical events in a fictional world. Obviously your vision or interpretation of possible events may differ. 

To those readers who find so much fault with the stories that they're compelled to deluge us with negative comments, I would politely suggest they move on to stories more to their liking. I have no intention of rewriting mine.All Rights Reserved

A holy light shone from within the graveyard, and a young woman laid sobbing in its stones. When his eyes met her, he could have sworn she'd taken his life for her littlest. ~~ He stood on the edge, glancing towards the castle his father had once been honored at. He looked just like him. He didn't think he'd ever be able to return to his birthplace. But that was fine. Mom probably can't either. ~~ It's been many years now. Everyone who was there is no longer here. It's impossible to move on, but there isn't even a fragment of the past left. She's been told never to head there, but she saddles her horse. ~~ The Calamity took thousands of lives, but it left behind thousands of others. A sister, a wife, a best friend, a son. They move away from each other, and some move from the places they were, all for closure and to remember without the pain. Over one hundred years does history fade to legend, but the faithful continue to tell the legends, not just of one hundred years ago, but of all the stories from it.

(Currently having text be reworked) After thinking about it for a while, I want to share a sort of reimagining of the legend of Zelda breath of the wild (skip bellow the following text to the actual story if you just want what the story is (going to be) about) I have loved botw since it came out, however, I, like a lot of you probably, thought there wasn't enough to the story, and I guess the community has influenced my Invision of how botw should have gone, but I'm getting ahead of myself I want to make this reimagining somewhat realistic in terms of how characters react, but don't expect that much from me in those terms (how I want the story to go) this will mainly focus on building Link's past and actually giving him his character, but I will also somewhat change the other main characters, but I will make them as close to their in-game personality as possible (the actual story) Link has always been a prodigy in combat ever since he was a child. His father is a newly retired member of the royal guard and lives with his family in a ranch (if you know the location, you know what I'm talking about) and was the first to realize Link's skills. His skills were so good, that he was able to beat most adults, albeit with a suitable weapon and the adult isn't a soldier. his skills had gained him a reputation whenever they traveled. What kind of adventures will be in store for Link later in life? This is my first story that I'm willing to put out, I plan on getting this story and the botw changed story out, but I'll have to consider if I want to continue after that point P.S. I can understand that the first chapter may not be that interesting, so if you don't, then skip to at the very least character 4 or 5 as that's when the story picks up the pace. But if you stick through the other chapters, I heavily appreciate that as well. All rights to any named character obviously belongs to Nintendo
