Nao finds himself the shield hero and is framed for a crime he did not commit and in turn despite his protests was heavily punished and tortured (since they can't kill him). Scorned and humiliated he only wants to survive, he makes questionable decisions on his own. He buys two slaves a small tanuki named Raphtalia and a Fox named Killua.
