after johnny recovers from the fire he starts to struggle with mental health problems such as anorexia, depression etc due to guilt. once Ponyboy finds out he promises to help johnny get threw this and will use any means necessary to do so (even if it's not the right way to go about it). johnny starts to rely on Pony making a stronger connection between the two. what is this that Johnny is feeling for Pony? is it just a strong friends or something more?
