Someday June, takes place in Maryland 1973. It's about two young boys who struggle in their daily lives, Eli parker is a fifteen year old boy who wants to die. He is abused by his family and has completely lost all reason to live, nathan woods is a fourteen year old boy who is struggling to keep his life in the fight with cancer. When nathan was told he didn't have to be hospitalized at the age of ten he began going to school, his family decided to move to Maryland where st. Judes hospital was located for cancer. Incase of emergency they wanted to be near a very good hospital, eli and nathan meet suddenly. As their friendship grows, Nathan's problems also become worst. Somewhere towards the middle of may, he becomes hospitalized and eli doesn't know nathan has cancer. When he visits nathan in the hospital they make a promise that someday in June, he and nathan will run away to live together.
