Violet is a teenage girl living in a shady part of Richmond, she hates her life there, but still has some enjoyment out of her best friend Louis, her gang, and the multitude of crime that is possible in Canary Avenue. After a close run in with the cops, Violet decides to take charge in her life, finally getting out of the crime business and bribing her way into the upper class part of Richmond, Quartz Lane. But moving to Quartz Lane isn't a bed of roses, nor a pleasure cruise. Barely surviving, Violet meets her soon-to-be-known soul mate...
