Wynn was a gentle soul no matter what, but his instinctual nerve was sanded down with his younger sister Philomena around. It was about to get worse when he finds she will never be around again. Sophie, his maid, hands him the news if her death and a suicude note, and things immediately don't add up. The letter has no mention of him, and palces reliance on their drunkard parents. It isn't at all Philomena. But, rather than gaze upon the past, he focuses on the now. Now finding out who is responsible, that is. In the midst of his search he finds Jarvis, a bartender who has a pension for mysteries and that not everything in the world is as what is used to be.
Violet and Rose have been inseparable siblings for 18 years. When Rose graduates from school and takes off for a backpacking trip in Europe with her boyfriend Riley, Violet isn't sure she can cope without her. But soon she meets Jamie and embarks on a whirlwind romance which helps her to move on with her life; and forget Rose.
That is until Rose returns a year later, having broken up with Riley and needing money from Violet. But there's something wrong with her. She looks older, too old, and she would never ask for money.
And when Rose goes missing the next day, Violet gets inadvertently caught up into a web of secrets, lies and murder surrounding her sister which she needs to escape from; or risk the same fate.
