In a dystopian world, everything is about appearance. You have to look perfect, act perfect. All so that one day, you can find a suitable partner and have perfect children. 17 year old Hally has grown up living like that forever, and she hates it. Everyone is fake, and she doesn't want to spend her life waiting for romance to find her. But there is a special day once a year called the Match Making Ceremony. On this day, the gods choose 5 boys, and 1 girl. They will rise into the air and will be taken to a famous temple, awaiting thousands of adoring fans and paparazzi. Over 3 months, the girl will have to choose which boy she will marry. They will conceive a child, and that child will be the "savior" or a leader for the next generation. The gods do this to keep the well being if their community. But latley, the Match Making Ceremony has no meaning. It's just an excuse to throw parties, to have more celebrities to worship, and it is a source of entertainment. These 3 months of romance and heart break appear on television for everyone to see. Hally never would have thought that she could ever be selected. The chances of being picked are one in a million! Read and see what happens to Hally.

Living the high end rich life with designer clothing, homes, yachts and other fun stuff sounds like the dream. Right? Especially with your dad being a hot shot business man and your mom being a top fashion designer. Wrong. It has it's perks. Believe me. But the truth is....my life is a fake. To the public we seem like the picture perfect, loving family. In reality, the Wayford family is the opposite. My mother is cheating on my dad. My father couldn't care less about me. And my twin sister is dead. My life isn't a dream, ladies and gentlemen. It's a nightmare. And the lies keep spilling... *Mature language people. Proceed with caution....basically just proceed*
