Vines

Dedicated to the woman I deeply care about.

I have experimented with my poem. I have used loop poetry which is the last word on the previous line is the first word on the new line. However, I have taken out the word on the new line creating the sense of a flowing poem instead of stopping and starting every time the reader reads a line. Every line is a new sentence however I have created every stanza flow like one sentence, so the commas are deliberately placed to allow the reader to take a short breath before continuing on with the stanza. I have used the word vines and referenced the jungle throughout the poem as it is how I feel when I am with this person. The stanzas begin with 6 lines each and then shorten to 4 lines. I have centred the poem on the page as it flows much more smoothly when reading the poem.
