What happens when the princess finds her champion--but he has better things to do?

When Lidah, princess of Napesh, follows the advice of an oracle and seeks a champion to rescue her country, she is acting out of desperation and hope. But Galen, the champion she finds, isn't eager to leave a comfortable life and her hope seems in vain. And indeed, so it might have been had Lidah not been abducted and carried off to the underworld, and had Galen not discovered too late that his heart was not in accord with his head. But seeking a woman who is no longer in this world leads him down strange paths with stranger companions. And Lidah finds it's sometimes up to the princess to be the champion.

In The End You Were My Hero

18 parts Ongoing

Elene's life was perfectly ordinary until a sudden flash of light dragged her into another world- like mother, like daughter. Elene has to relearn how to navigate a world where cultivation and magic overlap- without any mana of her own. Her emotions are constantly being cut short against her will and without her knowledge. Her reluctant mentor is Aldar, a fierce hunter who initially views her as a burden. He is the only person (besides her cat, who, unfortunately, doesn't count) who actively helps her. In a world that forces her to be passive, can she find a way to be her own hero? A tale of being light in darkness, courage in connection, and what it means to be a hero.
