Jane writes, but won't let anyone read. Not even her closest friend. He wants to support her and encourage her, but she's not ready for anyone to read her work. Until she's invited to a writing group by her crush...

Excerpt:
"'And you think she reciprocates?'
Baxter placed a hand to his chest. 'How could she not?'
'Well,' Jane said, snatching a lemon scented candle from his hand. 'I could list a few things.'
'For instance?' he said, towering over her.
'For one, you have freckles. Second, you hate seafood. And let's not forget, your shorts betray you.'
'Are you sure about that?' he asked, inching his face closer to hers, teasingly."

Andrew asked playfully, and she almost groaned at his decision to make fun of her than letting it go and changing the subject. "Cloud nine?" She blushed. "I wish." "Five?" He guessed. "I'd say around one and a half, 'cause it wasn't good at all," she answered it dejectively, but still being honest. "Wow, sad," Andrew responded with sympathy. "You gotta stop reading those sappy romance novels and start looking for your own instead, you know. I'm almost worried." -- Jayce was out, supposedly as the chaperone for her younger twin's date night with the girl's supposedly overprotective older brother, and she's been so stressed out she didn't realize the disaster that was about to come. She should've just believed her guts. And, God, didn't her twelve years experience teach her anything?! -- "We should probably just watch the movie," he suggested. "I can't," she replied softly, "I'm too embarassed to be able to focus on anything other than dying out of embarassment." "Nobody died out of embarassment." She nodded, but still didn't remove her hands. She countered lamely, "I know, it's just my cloud three." "You really are something else."
