this is an AU. they are not demigods. This will mostly just be a Percabeth story, but idk. TRIGGER WARNING. VIOLENCE IN SONE CHAPTERS. Annabeth lives a sad life. And it started when she was 7. When her father divorced her mom, and married a woman named Helen. Helen is very abusive, but never when her father is around. When Annabeth is 11, her father committed suicide over mother's death. Yes. He still missed and cared for her mother, Athena. Annabeth is forced to live with her abusive stepmother, and her two kind stepbrothers. Annabeth has attempted suicide many times, but the only thing keeping her from actually doing it, is her best friend Percy Jackson. They've been friends since they were6years old. Percy was abused by his former stepfather, who is now in prison for child abuse. Sometimes he has flashbacks, and panic attacks. But over the years they have left. But something happens and they return. Now Annabeth is 14, and Percy is moving. Possibly to never be seen again by Annabeth. What will happen now? Oh, and by the way,... Saving a Hero
((((COMPLETED)))) Percy Jackson is depressed and has succumbed to self destructive ways to release his frustration. Nobody notices a thing until Nico gets wind of his former crush drifting farther and farther away. Percy suddenly has new feelings for someone new, and he gets rejected by someone, but not who he thinks. He gets a quest and has to pick one other person from camp to go with him to rescue a friend. Percy gets cursed along the way and has to make it back to Camp to save a life. This story is about Percy self harming, and Nico helping him, there are mentions of dizziness, the feeling of starving, graphic self harm/injuries, blood, graphic thoughts of a person with depression, and probably something like psychological horror. If any of that makes you uncomfortable, don't read!!! I don't think I'm going to get any backlash for anything but if you comment, I'm probably not going to answer you! To the people who leave nice comments, I do read all of them and it is appreciated! this is my first published work, I just wanted to add something to this cool community and maybe live a little vicariously through the characters. The world is hardly ever what it seems. We have seen our heroes fight monsters, gods, titans, and even the very Earth itself. But, there were rules and procedures to be followed. There were prophecies that defined the path to victory. Now the enemy has no limits, no safeties, no restraints. Or Mortals aren't as blind and powerless as the gods seem to think... This is a completed story in told alternating POVs with Percy, Nico, Jason, and Piper being the main focus. The first several chapters are a bit rough, but my writing improved as it progresses. I will edit the early chapters to better match the quality of the later chapters when I have some spare time. This is my first story, and I'm writing this mostly for fun, so don't get mad if it's not on par with all these gods of writing. Meet Angel, a girl just trying to get by in this living torture she calls a life. Being abused by her father, and living life in constant fear, she does her best to get by. What happenes when she tries to get away from all the hardship, but only ends up finding more? And maybe even finding someone that can save her from her own misserable life. Note from future self: This story is extremely cringy and only gets worse as it goes on. When I was writing it there was a whole bunch of other stuff going on so I was rushing away too much to actually get it done. Content warning: Contains graphic descriptions and extreme violence.
