Charlie Vencient the second takes after his father, who is the most famous serial killer in America. When he was thirteen his father was taken to prison to await trial. The outcome was known, but people wanted to catch a glimpse of this monster before he was put to death.
Now a new killer is about. The police in twenty states have unsolved murders, with only one connection; they all were left with a note saying Charlie Vencient will be avenged. It is not until twenty eight people are found dead in a shelter do the pieces start to come together. The police now know that Charlie lied about killing his son. As the trial draws closer the now sixteen year old serial killer is making his way to see his father for what might be the last time.
