Lily Callaghan had been living in Manhattan for four years. With her mother dead and her drunk, abusive father in and out of her life, she quickly had to become the mother figure for her seven other siblings. She has her second family with the newsies as they protect her like one of their own. But one night she runs into Spot Conlon, the feared leader of the Brooklyn newsies. She knew about his reputation and to stay away from him. But when he saves her life, she can't help but wonder if all the rumors are true. As their relationship grows, the Manhattan newsies go on strike. With Spot's reluctance to help, Lily must pick between friends and family or the boy that loves her.

Nickels. The word could mean a lot. It could mean the metal, that was almost impossible to break. It could mean the coin that was worth a pretty penny. It also could mean the coin, that if you weren't careful with, could slip through your fingers and down the gutter. It could also mean one of the most feared newsies in all of New York. But, what no one knew is that Nickels was a girl. No one, except Spot Conlon. DISCLAIMER: I don't own newsies!!! Also, sorry if I don't get their accents wrong! 😅 Also, the plot will be different from the movie/play Also, there is some swearing and implied sex at one point, so just a warning
