Jackie Owens, a sophomore in high school. She's one of those kids that doesn't really pay a lot of attention or care about anyone outside her friend group. She mostly keeps to herself and no one really knows her as well as she sometimes wishes they did. After going through the experience of having a crush that drove her crazy, she decides that this school year will be completely boy-drama free.

Guess what happens? You guessed it! A boy comes trampling into her so-far perfect school year.

Jason Meyers, the new kid. He gets into a fight the first day, but unlike most, he tries and succeeds at trying to solve it peacefully.

It's not your usual romance story although it sure starts like one.
