The school bell indicating the day was over was the best sound ever to James Buchanan Barnes. Not only did it mean freedom, but it meant he could watch Brendon Kenneth Marshall as he ran on the track for practice after school. James, or Bucky to his friends, was different from the other boys in his class. He knew that as well. While the other boys were always talking about the girls in their class Bucky was stuck staring at the boys and finding them attractive, not the girls. It just took the fifteen year old boy running around the track for Bucky to realize he wasn't normal.
