Beyond the Heart and Mind

Alana Nicolos Jersey is excited to go on the camping trip into the woods with her classmates from school. She is the only daughter of a single mother, and her father supposedly died when she was only two. Now, to prove her ability to be independent, she joins her friends on the camping trip. And after all, the school rarely ever allows field trips, so why would she ever refuse?
But something strange is going on in those woods, and though she is convinced that nothing is wrong, she can't help but realize that there was more to the woods than meets the eye. All of a sudden, strange creatures once thought to be mythical surround her, and no matter how prepared she claims she is, Alana must face her destiny. What lies beyond the woods? And with strength beyond the heart and mind, will she overcome the perilous dangers that lie in the woods?
