Book Two
(Royals of Vanora)

Far in the North. As far as one can go, there is a kingdom. Home to thousands of fae and humans. Tall trees and vast valleys populate the kingdom. Water of pure clear crystal floods the sea. Trees full of ripe fruit high above the ground. A single peek from a mountain sits behind the castle. One might say it holds a door to another world. Spices and fine cloth flooded the harbour. Seeds from other kingdoms grew in the fertile land.

In the year 12775 the youngest child of the king begins a perilous journey. A male from the past, a puppet and the child conspire to take what they believe is rightfully there's. But what happens when an unexplainable force keeps them from gaining the upper hand?

Evanora Ravenscroft comes from a long line of a dying race, thought to have long been driven to extinction: the witch race. Fabled in the mage community to be a distant legend of vile, curse ridden demons, the last time a witch was encountered, the world was plunged into the dark ages. But Evanora knows the truth of her people, and she's running out of time. Born as normal, loving people, witches have a rich culture and traditions spanning generations. Bonding for life as teens and having children early in life, they live their lives to the fullest before they begin to forget their families and friends. Most witches become complete amnesiacs by the time they're 25. Along with this amnesia, witches begin to generate and pour magic from their bodies. And continue to do so until they die. The adult amnesiac stops needing sustenance and becomes a purposeless roaming force of nature, drifting where its whim takes it and unintentionally affecting everything in its path, whether positively or negatively. Now 21, Evanora, is running out of time. Each day, the image of her parents wandering into the forest to never be seen again grows fainter, and accidents keep happening around her. In all her race's history, no witch has ever avoided their fate. Her resources are limited, and she's desperate to find a way to stop the corruption. But the only source of knowledge that may help her is the world renowned academy for mages, the magic users that nearly drove her species to extinction... Can she save herself the fate of becoming an empty shell of chaos, or will she lose herself trying to do the impossible?

Primsharah will become the center of a deadly play, with the powers of the gods themselves at stake ... *** Refusing to watch his family crumble beneath the weight of poverty, Arran has resorted to stealing from the rich to provide for his mother and sister. His ability to bend light prevents him from being caught ... until one day, he is. His captors have no intention of turning him in, though, instead making him an offer that he cannot resist, but which will change the course of his future forever. Meanwhile, Princess Serafina, heir to the throne of Primsharah, welcomes an unusual suitor in the royal palace. This stranger brings a dangerous gift for her father: the Sphere of Truths, one of the ten World Artifacts, created by the gods themselves. As the Shah sinks deeper into his obsession with the Sphere, Inna starts experiencing visions about a thief stealing another Artifact, the Amulet of Doom. A deathly curse is bound to the Amulet, and its theft will set in motion a series of events which might destroy Primsharah for good ... and the world along with it. Together, Arran and Inna flee across the desert to find out who is stealing the Artifacts and why. But Arran's time is limited as the curse flows through his veins, with no hope for salvation save for the stubborn princess who is determined to see his survival. Magic, desert and creatures of myth weave a tale of fragile hope, large-scale betrayal and fierce friendship between two people whose fates should never have crossed paths at all.
