In the wee hours of the night, two females make the decision to flee for their lives. Thus creating another gap in the long history between the two kingdoms. Amberanian and Kalisté. Through long life and prosperity Fae make enemies and allies. Over thousands of years the Kingdoms of Amberanian and Kalisté create and dissolve treaties. 18 treaties have been made, the latest is about to be carved into history. When the king of Amberanian became ill and the prince became king. Events didn't turn out the way he wanted. One would say they never do. A scheme to find a bride turns sour. 

This is how the King of Ruin came to be and how he fell.

One's with evil kings and dark crowns and warriors made of wings and fire. There, she meets Sable Deidre, the king's killer. He is made of darkness and known for his brutality. Can she overcome her fear of this new life and the killer before her, or will his shadows swallow her whole?
