Her foot stepped down and she felt strong arms wrap around her waist and pulled her back roughly. An inaudible gasp escaped and she looked up at the rugged man who yanked her back. "I- I wasn't following you," she swallowed thickly, her lilac eyes gazing into his own dark ones. She had spent countless nights dreaming of them. He nodded his head at the boulder where her foot had just been, seeing a snake slither out quickly, darting into the vegetation and out of sight once more. Persephone's eyes widened and she looked back up at him. "You need to be careful," his low voice grumbled out, "You all may live for centuries, but I'm sure you can still die from a venomous bite." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Persephone was born into an old family of Faeries, being one of the youngest she was always kept safe and given the best her family could. She moves across the country to live with her brother and niece when her parents pass away, she is given a guardian to keep herself safe from those who want to hurt the younglings.
