We do not choose to be born.

We do not choose our parents.
We do not choose our historical events,
the country of our birth,
or the immediate circumstances of our upbringing.
We do not, most of us, choose to die;
nor do we choose the time and conditions of our death.
But within this realm of choicelessness,
we choose how we think,
what we want,
and how to achieve it,
the struggles along the way,
are simply hurdles to what's bigger.
Happiness.

Me?

I have yet to know how to get there.
My circumstance is different in it's own way.
I woke up as a side affect,
in a place unknown to the world.
