Before the war ended and Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange were imprisoned in Azkaban, they had a daughter.
Lilliana Megaera Lestrange they named her, she was just a baby when they were sent to Azkaban, and she was sent to live with her godparents, her aunt and uncle, Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy. They coddled her and treated her like their own child, and raised her as a sibling to their infant son, Draco. As the children grew, Draco and Lilliana became the closest of friends. They did everything together. They played together, they ate together, they dressed the same though no one could ever mistake them as twins, and they looked after each other. They had different temperaments though, Draco was more prone to whine and bully if he didn't get his way, where Lilliana was calm and thoughtful, and never had a bad thought against anyone, not even muggles.
When their acceptance letters to Hogwarts came, things began to change.
The Malfoy name was a name as feared as it was respected, but Lestrange was a name witches and wizards alike feared to utter almost as much as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Lilliana was the child of two of the darkest wizards of the 20th century, people knew that, and while she was only a child, people feared her name, and they feared what she may become. Not knowing her gentle nature, all they saw was a younger version of Bellatrix Lestrange.
What does this biased opinion mean for the young witch starting her first year at Hogwarts? And what does it mean for her future?

A moan escaped her, and he abruptly ended the passionate moment. He pulled away, leaning his forehead on hers, their heavy breaths mixing in the space between them. Malfoy's thumb caressed Dahlia's cheek, and her eyes fluttered open to meet his. "You aren't expendable to me," Draco hissed forcefully. "Do you understand?"
Dahlia couldn't form words. She tried, but none came so instead she nodded.
"Words, Dumbledore, use your words."
Hissing at the use of her surname, she looked up at him and snarled, "Understood, Malfoy."
He didn't seem put off by her anger. Rather, he seemed pleased with himself. He gave a nod to her, and then locked eyes with Harry for half a second. The boys seemed to have a silent, nonverbal conversation before Potter inclined his head to the Slytherin, who did the same. Then the blonde boy disappeared through the flap of the tent.
