It's been so, so long since I've even thought about writing fanfiction but I've recently been inspired by the amazing Erkensci Kus, the Turkish romcom. Some of my writing will remain canon, others will depart from the canon episodes and I'll add my own, mostly from Can's perspective. Please bear with me as I get acclimated to writing again and please comment, leave suggestions for how I can improve!

Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises
Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!Complete

But when they heard how she was treated, they told her she could break of the engagement, but that didn't go well, and now Sanem had to leave her home. Can is a handsome famous photographer and part time model, he's a man who wants to be free no commitments. what happens when two totally different people meet from different backgrounds, will they fall in love and battle what's ahead. Priceless Love
Sanem Aydin is living her dream life in Paris, as she is about to graduate from college with the intention of starting a company and launching her own line of perfumes. She had worked hard to get to where she was and couldn't wait to start her new life on her own. But she is needed back in Istanbul to help with her family's publishing house. Canem Story Time with Prince
*SERIES COMPLETE* This series of one-shots/short stories/scene extensions/episode specs will be the telling of Sanem and Can's story as inspired by Prince's music. I love Prince. I love Can and Sanem. I couldn't help but relate Prince's lyrics to CanEm's love story as I listened. This is an experiment...The idea is interesting to me--we shall see how interesting it is to others. :) Some parts will be rated G, and some will be R. NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH ERKENCI KUS
This is a different type of Erkenci Kus story. The characters are familiar, but their interaction has changed from the series, and quirky funny things happen. I have read one story where Sanem had special powers and she will have different ones in this version. There is a difference from the other version. I hope this will be a fun filled story. I apologize if any details are similar to any other story. I try hard to write from my imagination only, except of course ideas from the series. I have no affiliation to Erkenci Kus, the cast, or anyone else involved with the series. I am just a fan, only. Please overlook, any mistakes, long drawn out sentences, or misspellings.
