It's been so, so long since I've even thought about writing fanfiction  but I've recently been inspired by the amazing Erkensci Kus, the Turkish romcom. Some of my writing will remain canon, others will depart from the canon episodes and I'll add my own, mostly from Can's perspective. Please bear with me as I get acclimated to writing again and please comment, leave suggestions for how I can improve!All Rights Reserved

This is an AU story inspired in the original dizi of Erkenci Kus. I had some ideas to many open points that where left without a reply. I missed a different approach to some of the characters like Yiyit or Huma or even Ayhan and why not Derem and Cey Cey. In my thoughts they deserved another end at no way these characters had a fair exit in the story. However to make things more interesting and amusing I have just come to the idea that Mr. Wrong should be around and we shall see what happens with all of them. So some characters and things and could be slightly different from orginal serie. I beguin after Can leaves with Polen to the Balkans and Sanem remains in agency and is working at her book already with Yiyit. Another note, the famliy Divit has 2 sons Can and Emre and a daughter called Lale. This is my first story and Im not experienced in writting. I haven't got the rights of the characters from the original story.

I really loved EK up to episode 19, after that, they made Sanem act too childish, awkward and unworthy of being a strong and intelligent woman. From then on, and especially the scene at the hut where Can lost it, I almost felt insulted that a young woman could be portrayed in such a weak and stupid way; and that she would blame herself after a man would treat her with so much violence and disrespect. I am slowly learning to like the character of Can again but mostly felt the need to write my ''dream'' version of EK after Sanem tells Can ''you have decided to leave, good bye''. I like happy ending don't worry, but Can won't have it easy!!! I own no rights over characters, and I am not a frequent writer apart from uni and work assignments/reports😊 oh and I am not a native English speaker. Yigit is not Polen's brother in this story, because it was utterly RIDICULOUS!!!! Lol

NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH ERKENCI KUS by SAllen68

This is a different type of Erkenci Kus story. The characters are familiar, but their interaction has changed from the series, and quirky funny things happen. I have read one story where Sanem had special powers and she will have different ones in this version. There is a difference from the other version. I hope this will be a fun filled story. I apologize if any details are similar to any other story. I try hard to write from my imagination only, except of course ideas from the series. I have no affiliation to Erkenci Kus, the cast, or anyone else involved with the series. I am just a fan, only. Please overlook, any mistakes, long drawn out sentences, or misspellings. In addition, I am learning as I go. I recently learned how to add photos and I hope it will work! Thank you for reading and stay well and safe during our new normal. 10 minutes can be an eternity or a blink of an eye depending on where you're standing. For Sanem Aydin it was all the time it took to loose what she loved more than life itself, but she wouldn't look back. Those ten minutes showed her that her love was not reciprocated in kind and that it had all been an illusion crafted by an experienced seducer upon a naive and foolish girl. But that would be the last time that would ever happen to her. 10 minutes more and she's be flying over her homeland and away from her heartache. 10 minutes later she was falling asleep with a sob choking her to escape and tears burning behind her eyes. 10 minutes later and she was being carried to the bedroom at the back of the jet in the arms of the man she had crushed on so many years ago and who had swept in like a hero to save her. In 10 minutes she would be his if only he would ask. 10 minutes or less. 10 minutes was all it took to see him drunk. 10 minutes later Can Divit had a companion. 10 minutes more was all he needed to get the blond into his bed. 10 minutes was all it took to realize he had made a horrible mistake, but his ego and his pride wouldn't let him turn around and go back. When he finally came to his senses after swimming in his own guilt for weeks on end he all but ran to buy a ticket back home but he was 10 minutes too late. Flights were sold out. For the next 10 minutes he called her number but there was no response. The night would be endless but when he finally made it back he may as well have been a ghost. It was his fault he knew it and he was prepared to crawl back on hands and knees. He begged for 10 minutes of her time. Just 10 minutes to explain but she was gone and it would take what felt like a lifetime before he saw her again. 10 minutes to fall in love again. Will that be enough time to change the course of a love story once again. Sanem Aydin and Can Divit will discover if love lasts a lifetime or if 10 minutes was all they had left.

Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!

This is an AU of the Turkish show Erkenci Kus. A show that has the two most chemistry filled leading couple I have ever seen in a show/movie. In this version Sanem has to leave her home and her family after finding herself in a heap of trouble with some unsavory characters. With the help of Aziz, an agent with the National Intelligence Organization, she moves to a small town where no one knows who she is to start a new life. Sanem tries to accept the fact that her old life is over and she may never be truly happy again. That is until she meets Can Divit.
